Nona Yehia, Co-Founder & CEO at Vertical Harvest talks about its second facility in Maine and how to build farms at scale and become a profitable business.

“By growing food vertically we can locate small plots of land and grow at scale. We can control all the environmental variables, and the yields are massive: We project over two million pounds of produce a year on half an acre of land. If we can do this, and create a product that is consistent, available, accessible and affordable, we can deliver the demand for local food.”

Join Nona’s panel discussion on ‘Designing Facilities and Farming Systems to Support Profitable Businesses’ on Friday June 30 at 2.40pm EDT alongside Energy Resources Integration, Arco / Murray, Freight Farms and Van Der Hoeven.
